Congratulations to all the students who were recognized at the end of year High School 2018-2019 Award Ceremonies.
One of the great things about ISKL is the variety of the pathways our students take when they leave school.
As in previous years, ISKL outperformed the worldwide IB Diploma average score by over 5 points with a Diploma average of 35.3 points.
From an ISKL perspective the Class of 2019 has become part of its own educational learning journey and the motto “Once a Panther, Always a Panther” now holds true for these graduates as they are welcomed into ISKL’s alumni community. Congrats Grad!
Over the past two years, we have worked together with over 50 teachers from more than 40 local schools. The experience has enriched everyone involved and ultimately helped strengthen student learning and engagement.
Congratulations to our scholarship recipients! Both scholarship recipients expressed their excitement about joining ISKL and embarking on the world-renowned IB Program.
For one week every year 400 plus tween to early teen Middle School students (Grade 6-8) head off to remote corners of Malaysia to find out more about this beautiful country and, importantly, find out more about themselves as well.
“Teachers Teaching Teachers” is a homegrown idea started in early 2017 by Ms. Suji DeHart, ISKL’s Elementary School Librarian. Ms. DeHart developed the initiative in order to support and upskill teachers at refugee schools who are responsible for teaching students aged between 4 and 21 years.
This year, ISKL’s grade 1 teachers have introduced a fun way to prepare students for this time of transition with a Grade 1 A-Z End of Year Activities Countdown.
The event is all about spirit – team spirit, community spirit, and for the 500 children who attended the preliminaries last month at ISKL, it also involved a large dose of ISKL Panther spirit.
Malaysia Week is a fabulous outdoor learning experience for students and a defining feature of the International School of Kuala Lumpur’s (ISKL) Middle School.
