COUNSELING

ISKL Batik Logo

Supporting students in and out of the classroom is at the forefront of the ISKL Counseling team’s endeavors.  Their developmentally appropriate focus on the social and emotional wellbeing of all students is a key ingredient to building individual confidence and independence.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is at the heart of the counseling curriculum which builds the 21st century skills students need to navigate an increasingly complex world. Counselors works with teachers to embed this timely and intentional learning into the classroom

The success of these supportive grade level programs is evident within the overall student community both on and off the ISKL campus.

Counseling extends beyond the classroom to include topical workshops throughout the school to reach out to students and their parents.  Online opportunities, 1-to-1 as well as small group interactions provide transition and university admission support, career advice and future bound guidance. Counselors are supporting both students and their families either with the transition into or out of school, onto new adventures or even beyond the realms of ISKL.
