We have an internal vacancy for an High School Counselor starting August 1, 2022.  
 
We are seeking individuals with a demonstrated educational background who firmly believes in students and ISKL’s mission, who is an innovative and highly collaborative team player who has the capacity to help our students maximise their opportunities in ISKL.
 

The candidate must also have international experience in similar roles with demonstrated social, creative and psychological development of student learning.

The minimum criteria to be used in the selection shall include:

  • Counseling qualification/certification (experience in personal/guidance counseling and/or
    career/college counseling, in an AP/IB program setting)
  • Successful counseling experience (including in an international school)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with groups (human relations skills)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a sense of community and generate trust
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills: a good listener with a collaborative style is a must
  • Highly energetic, enthusiastic, visible, approachable and open minded

Are you keen to join our substitute team as a teacher or a teaching assistant?

Our substitute teachers play a critical role in fulfilling ISKL’s mission by ensuring student learning is uninterrupted and students are fully supported at all times. We are currently recruiting individuals with a demonstrated background in education to join our team of substitute teachers and teaching assistants.

Successful applicants will possess excellent communication skills, the ability to collaborate effectively and bring a proactive, flexible approach to the role.  Alignment with ISKL’s values and core belief in the capability of every student is essential.

Training and professional development opportunities are provided to ensure our substitute teachers are aligned with ISKL’s high teaching standards.

The minimum selection criteria

If you are a Malaysian:

  • Minimum of two years teaching experience 
  • Valid Teacher’s Certification or Teaching Degree preferred
  • Successful teaching/school experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust with stakeholders
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills: a good listener with a collaborative style
  • Highly energetic, enthusiastic, visible, approachable, and open-minded

  •  Residence Pass Talent visa 
  •  Malaysian spousal visa with Permission to Work

ISKL is looking for an intern to join our Alumni & Development team.

The Role:

To support and work closely with the Director of Development and Alumni Engagement to promote and grow Alumni relations, campus projects, and community fundraising activities. The role broadly covers the many facets of Alumni activities, including website and social media, event planning, and database management. With a focus on community and sustainability, the development aspect of the role focuses on assisting with the administration of funds, planning, and project management to support ISKL’s Mission and Vision.

Key Tasks:

  • Website and social media content management
  • Alumni outreach and database management
  • Event management
  • Financial records management
  • Communications

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

The ideal candidate will be mission-driven, able to work independently, flexible, and adaptable to changing circumstances. They will have a strong interest in people and be willing to share ideas to support the goals of the department. Enthusiasm, creativity, and attention to detail are essential.
