STUDENT SERVICES TEAM PHILOSOPHY STATEMENT
We believe in an exceptional education for all students and strive to provide the systems, support and resources for equitable and inclusive programming. We are a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team who are committed to helping students realize their potential by addressing their social-emotional, behavioral, linguistic and academic needs holistically using the evidence-based Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) inclusion model. Our team approach is proactive, personalized and focused on student strengths.
Our extensive Student Services team includes English as an Additional Language (EAL), Learning Resource (LR), and counseling professionals who work regularly with classroom teachers to design learning which addresses the needs of all students and fosters growth in the areas of academics, language acquisition, and social-emotional learning. Our Student Services team includes:
- Specialist Educators
- Educational Psychologists
- Speech Language Pathologist (Elementary School & LCE Program only)
Students we serve include those diagnosed with learning, intellectual, or developmental differences, and students identified as gifted.
The Life-Centered Education (LCE) program is one facet of the continuum of services we are proud to provide. LCE has been designed to meet the needs of students with intensive special education needs who require individualized academic and social skills instruction. Customized support and instruction is provided by highly trained special educators and assistant teachers who focus on teaching literacy, mathematics, social skills, and life skills to every student. Additionally, students are integrated into our school elective classes and optional after-school activities.
