The ISKL community celebrated Earth Week 2020, making pledges and commitments to change old habits and adopt new behaviors all for the greater good of our planet!
ISKL’s Elementary School Grade 2 teacher, Alex Lancia had heard these words too many times. The tub where his second graders store their headphones was resulting in many being broken. He decided to do something about it. He asked his students to try to solve the problem of where to put their headphones so they won’t get broken.
Our Alumni hold a very special place in ISKL’s rich history. They are the ones who cemented traditions, created change and built community. They are also part of our vision for ISKL’s future as we work to strengthen our culture and build connections between our current students, parents and faculty, and those who have gone before them.
AERO mathematics and science consultant, Erma Anderson recently conducted a three-day mathematics course: Mathematics Specialists in International Schools (MSIS) for Elementary School and Middle School mathematics teachers.
The school wants the 5th graders to fully understand the responsibility they are being given as the leaders of Elementary, and a symbol, like these hats, are a great way to represent it.
Reading broadens students’ knowledge and perspectives, enhances writing and language skills, improves focus and concentration and, most of all, reading stimulates learners’ minds.
