Our sincere appreciation to everyone who participated in last Saturday’s Quiz Night organized by our wonderful PTA! It was great to see the Melawati Theatre packed with parents, faculty, and staff dressed in amazing costumes and participating in an evening of community fun. Heartfelt thanks to the PTA Quiz Night Committee, led by Kathy Bouttchenko, who worked so hard to create such a fantastic event.

As the teams prepared for Quiz Night, our Middle School basketballers competed in the Jungle Gym at the Twin Towers Basketball Invitational (February 16-17). Thank you to our MS families who hosted athletes visiting from Jakarta; building these connections is such an important part of the experience. Congratulations to the 48 MS athletes and their coaches who participated in the tournament.

It has been an exciting week for our musicians, with our Association for Music in International Schools (AMIS) Strings currently performing in South Korea and our HS musicians performing their pieces at the IASAS Recitals (February 19 and 20) to an appreciative audience in the Robert B. Gaw Theatre. Our students truly shone on stage, sharing their passion and talent with us through their beautiful solos and ensemble performances. Next week (February 26 and 27), we have the much-anticipated IASAS Dance, Drama, and Tech Showcases in the Robert B. Gaw Theatre to look forward to.

These beyond-the-classroom experiences and opportunities are an important component of an international education and are enhanced by our membership of associations locally and regionally. We take great pride in seeing the growth of our students as they pursue their passions, develop their competencies, and demonstrate their Panther spirit when competing with peers in KL and around the region.

As shared previously in Panther News, we are undergoing re-accreditation with top accreditation agencies, the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Accreditation with these leading agencies is a hallmark of our commitment to excellence, and we undergo the renewal process every five years. As we reach the final stages of the process, CIS and WASC representatives will be on campus each day next week to observe daily activities and engage with ISKL community members, including parent representatives, students, administrators, Board members, faculty, and staff. We thank all those involved and look forward to sharing all that makes our school such a special place.
