The second annual Teachers Teaching Parents coffee morning was conducted at ISKL recently. Almost 60 parents participated in the TTP. The idea was for ISKL educators to share some of the professional development ideas that they use to enhance student learning or to enhance their skills as educators.

The event began with two “Ignite” speakers Vincent Cee and Michael Callan. Both presented short and inspirational topics. Vincent shared his passion for music from a very young age and his persistence to make it a career, while Michael talked about his philosophy of choosing to be positive each and every day.

The morning then continued with seven five-minute speed-geeking sessions, followed by round-table discussions and workshops by our educators. Some of the topics our educators shared were around creativity, recruiting educators, preparing for the transition, differentiating learning and raising teenage girls. It was an amazing day of learning for our parents!
