We took valuable feedback from ES, MS, HS teachers, and MS & HS students, together with anecdotal parent feedback across the schools. From that experience, we learned that expectations needed to be more clear, and it is essential to have a planning day or planning time for virtual learning to be in place
The award is named for Alan McLean, ISKL High School Mathematics and Theory of Knowledge teacher, who worked at ISKL during the 1980s and again from 2006 until his passing in September 2019.
This is the mantra of the parents-elected Board of Directors who are the governing body of ISKL. Their tireless work and piercing vision in ensuring that all resources are well managed and invested to support our students is a noteworthy achievement.

Alumni News Flash: Lydia Lubon, ISKL graduate Class of ’96, screened her film, Operation Sumatran Rhino, made for National Geographic at ISKL. We were introduced to the three remaining Sumatran Rhinos in Malaysia and their compelling story. Tam, Puntung, and Iman are the last of their species in Malaysia and are in dire need of our help as the species faces certain extinction without serious intervention.
