My thanks to all our parents who joined us for the Head of School Coffee last week. It was a great learning opportunity to hear your perspectives on our school...
Head of School Welcome
“As an inclusive school, we deeply believe in each student’s value and our responsibility to provide them with individualized pathways towards becoming successful, spirited, and socially responsible global citizens.”
Welcome to our school. ISKL’s culture embodies care and empathy, collective efficacy around student learning, and high expectations of oneself and others. As an inclusive school, we deeply believe in each student’s value and our responsibility to provide them with individualized pathways towards becoming successful, spirited, and socially responsible global citizens.
Our students model the skills and dispositions embedded in our mission, vision, and school-wide learning results. They think creatively, reason critically, and communicate effectively to ensure their future readiness. From an early age ISKL students develop and are nurtured in the key cognitive, social, and emotional skills they need for success in life. We support students transitioning into ISKL, during their time at ISKL, and as they transition to the next phase of their learning journey.
Data from our current and former students, and from our accreditation agencies, highlight ISKL’s uniqueness, as a place that promotes student wellbeing, and provides them with experiences they cherish throughout their lives. Our competitive results in the International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement, and a range of standardized assessments, reflect the commitment of our community toward learning.
Our top class international faculty are experts in their fields, inspired educators, and forward thinkers. Educational research confirms that students progress faster when they are interested and engaged in learning. At ISKL, we believe that learning is a natural process. Our faculty provide a stimulating, caring, and appropriately challenging environment, enabling all students to be all they are.
ISKL’s commitment to life-long learning is reflected in the nature, diversity and quality of its programs. We are proud of our world-class sustainability and service projects, our local and regional athletic participation, and our arts and forensics programs. Through these innovative programs our students develop voice and identity.
Our state-of-the-art, award winning campus is designed for the future of learning. We invite you to join ISKL and experience the commitment of our community in shaping this caring, inclusive, and rigorous institution.
