“ISKL’s vision: It means bringing change in the world and understanding what the world is going through and what it means to help out. It’s all about unity and collaboration because the world can’t change just because of one person; everyone needs to work together to accomplish it.

Hailing originally from India, Rajit has lived all across Asia, having been born in Bangkok, then moving to India, Kazakhstan, China, and now Malaysia. He enjoys playing badminton, cricket, cooking, working out, and participating in the MUN.

Here is Rajit’s story:

Tell us more about yourself?

I come from living in countries all across Asia, having been born in Bangkok, then moving to India, Kazakhstan, China, and now KL. I am originally Indian, and I have an elder brother who is a big motivation and has been my idol for a long time.

When did you come to Malaysia, and in which grade did you join ISKL?

I came to ISKL in 2018, in Grade 5, and I have never regretted a single moment since.

Can you tell us more about your other hobbies and interests?

I love playing badminton, cricket and watching football. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family and eating food. Sometimes, I cook and search for new recipes to surprise my family with various dishes.

I also have recently started enjoying working out alot more and have seen a lot of progress, as well taking part in public speaking activities such as the Model United Nations (MUN).

Describe your most memorable moment at ISKL.

It has to be my trip to Rawa Island in Grade 8. The trip allowed me to make new connections with people and take a break from all the assessments at the end of the year. It was also one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited, and there were so many new activities that I could experience, and I wished that it had been longer than five days.

Any plans for after you graduate from ISKL – what would you like to do?

So far, I would like to get into a great university in the UK to study Economics and master that field. I am also open to getting a degree in Math and Business along with Economics.

Do you have any thoughts on your career pathway?

I plan to study Economics in the UK and further deepen my understanding in that field, and hopefully, one day become a professional economist. I am very interested in Math and would like to pursue that.

What are your hopes and dreams for the future?

My hopes and dreams are to be happy and successful and make others happy. I want to comfort people through the tough times and improve the world.

Who or what inspires you or has influenced you?

My elder brother has always been my biggest motivation or inspiration. He led me to pursue so much in life and has been with me through the tough and good times. Half the knowledge in my brain has come from him; without him, I don’t know what kind of person I would be. He has given me amazing tips, and his actions influence me day by day.

What does “Know yourself, care for all and create a better world” mean to you?

It means bringing change in the world, understanding what the world is going through and what it means to help out. It’s all about unity and collaboration because the world can’t change just because of one person; everyone needs to work together to accomplish it. Also, it’s just giving back to your community.
