In our last VOX ISKL for the 2022-2023 academic year, this thought-provoking panel discussion focused on the importance of cultivating a sense of belonging and inclusion at ISKL and the role it plays in preparing students for their future – university, career, and life itself.

Moderated by our Directors of Learning and Student Services Azra Pathan and Trina Cobbledick, the audience heard from our Elementary and Middle School Counselors Lynn Kogelmann and Joanna Florento as well the perspectives and advice of Class of 2016 alum Safa Arshadullah and Grade 11 student Sana M.

VOX Inclusion & Belonging

Our panelists spoke about their real-life experiences and the skills and mindsets needed to navigate different cultural contexts and how parents can help nurture these capabilities at home.

In addition to sharing how we help ensure all students experience a sense of belonging, the discussion ranged from the skills and mindsets needed to navigate different cultural contexts to how the importance of intercultural competencies and how parents can help nurture these capabilities at home.
