The International School of Kuala Lumpur
At ISKL, we believe that learning through service instills strong values that will last a lifetime. Service Learning and environmental action are integrated into our curriculum so that each student develops an understanding of the importance of active community involvement, and learns the skills necessary to take action and make positive changes in the world around them.

Our curriculum is designed to ensure students are involved in the exploration of community needs, solution planning, and action. We have an ever-increasing number of service learning opportunities that address campus, local, and global needs, including the Global Action Program (GAP), Malaysia Week and Eco-Schools environmental projects, and additional service-based activities.

Our students dedicate their time to building connections with different communities in
Kuala Lumpur and beyond, such as refugee learning centers, homes for those with
medical conditions, and sustainability organizations. With the main focus on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of quality education and reduced
inequalities, our student community partnership teams engage in a myriad of activities
with these communities, including music, art, coding, crafts, and many more. At ISKL,
community partnership groups and individual initiatives exemplify our dedication to our
School-wide Learning Results (SLRs) including to Live Ethically, Collaborate
Constructively, and Think Critically.
