DYNAMIC-COMMUNITYAt ISKL, our community of learners includes student, faculty, staff and member of the governing board. This weekend saw the arrival of Bambi Betts, an internationally renowned teacher, educator and consultant to work with the administrative leadership of the school and the school’s board. Sessions on both Friday and Saturday focused on good governance, board and administrative leadership relations.

“Bambi brings a wealth of experience having worked with boards and staff at leading schools around the globe,” said Dr. Norma Hudson, Head of School. “Having her on campus for the weekend underscores our commitment to excellence in education for all members of our community – including the Board of Directors.”

Bambi Betts is the Director of the Principals’ Training Center for International School Leadership and has been actively involved with the PTC since its inception as a course developer, trainer, and co-trainer for the PTC’s Essential Skills courses. Bambi is also the CEO of the Academy for International School Heads (AISH).

She has held positions as Director of Escuela Campo Alegre, Deputy Superintendent and Middle School Principal in Caracas, and also a senior school head in Portugal.

Bambi is a leading consultant on a wide range of topics in international schools and conducts on-site training modules related to the effective international school. She has written many articles on practical ways to improve international schools and authors a regular column on the PTC pages of The International Educator (TIE).Bambi Betts
