Chu holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics, as well as a Master’s of Science in Finance and Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London.

He is recently appointed as the Co-CEO for the Wholesale Banking business at CIMB Group, after heading the treasury and financial markets business for the past seven years.

Chu is also an accredited Chartered Banker by the Chartered Banker Institute of UK, and a CFA charterholder.

He and his wife, Sim Yoon are blessed with four children, three of whom are in ISKL. They hope to bring more local perspectives and longevity of service to the school.

Chu is an appointed member of the Board and serving as vice chair on the Finance Committee.
