ES Playground Collage

It was with great joy that the Elementary School rooftop playground was officially opened earlier this week. With climbing, swinging, sliding, balancing equipment, and a watercourse the playground truly has it all and adds an amazing dimension to the ES learning experience.

As well as creating a magical oasis for our ES students to connect with friends and have fun, the playground is also an important learning space and a major milestone in our ongoing campus enhancement program ensuring students have access to the best learning opportunities and environment possible.

Largely funded by the Inspiration Fund, this amazing space has been made possible by the generosity of our community and we thank our PTA for their fundraising efforts which contributed to the Inspiration Fund, everyone who purchased an ISKL 55th anniversary Royal Selangor panther, and the individual ISKL families and alumni donors who are featured on the gratitude totems. As well as demonstrating true Panther spirit, their contributions have created a long-lasting legacy for our students.

It was fitting that along with two of our ES learners, the ribbon at the grand opening was cut by Lynette MacDonald whose vision and dedication made the playground a reality. Thank you, Lynette! It has been a huge task to transform the rooftop into such an imaginative and creative space for our students and we look forward to the day when we can invite our parents to come and see it for themselves. In the meantime, we are sharing plenty of photos and videos featuring the happy faces of our ES students.

ISKL Students Shine

Congratulations to all those involved in the performance of this year’s High School musical, The Addams Family. It was truly inspiring to see the creativity and depth of talent of our students both on stage and behind the scenes, especially with the restrictions due to SOPs. This weekend our students will be participating in the IASAS Chess and Service Learning conferences and we wish them all the best. These opportunities to engage in co-curricular activities and explore passions and interests are such an important part of ISKL’s education philosophy and we are ISKL proud!
