Kuala Lumpur, 6 July 2018: Five students from The International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL) have achieved outstanding academic results, placing them in the top 1% of all International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) candidates worldwide. Qijia Wei and Kris Jeong achieved the perfect score of 45 points while Myeong Jin Choi, Maya Gan and In Hwan Um scored 44 points for the diploma program.
ISKL's IB Diploma students who scored 40+ points have also increased over the past 2 years, from 20% in 2017 to 29% in 2018, placing them among the top 10% candidates worldwide. This year, we also saw the largest cohort of the IB Diploma program ever at ISKL, a total of 102 students have earned their IB Diploma with the average score of 36.4 points, surpassing the 2018 worldwide average of 29.8. Twenty percent of the students who undertook the program earned a Bilingual Diploma.
