SUMMER PROGRAM

The ISKL Summer Program gives kids the chance to explore hobbies, discover new interests, and most importantly have fun with friends throughout the course of the week. There are a range of age appropriate activities and program structures that encourage kids to get outside, be active, and try new things.

Our ISKL Summer Program is back, and we are thrilled to share our new and improved ISKL Summer Program for 2023! From June 12 – 28, we are offering an array of exciting special programs with flexible full-day and half-day programs for students aged 3 – 17 years old.

In addition, we have exciting special programs lined up for all ages, such as the Inspirit AI (13-18).

Prep reception and Prep Junior

Our youngest students will join together for “Holiday Fun Club”, a special 1/2 day program. Students will participate in an exciting range of activities running every day! Each day includes indoor and outdoor play, as well as numerous hands-on activities such as cooking, music and movement, arts, games and much more!

  • Select the age group (Prep Reception or Prep Junior) for weeks 1, 2, and/or 3
  • The actual activities and lessons will be the same for each class within an age group. The only difference is the teacher assigned to the group of students. 
  • In many cases the teachers will be team teaching and groups of students will be exploring activities and having fun together
  • When entering your child’s age in the registration form, 
    • Prep Reception = Preschool 3
    • Prep Junior = Preschool 4

Prep Senior and Grade 1

Students will have the opportunity to choose from a ½ day or a full day of activities. All students will participate in swimming and water activities, as well as active cooperative play sessions in the morning. In the afternoons, students can choose between a variety of activities that include: science, gardening, cooking, reading enrichment, batik, arts & crafts, and mind-body wellness. 

    • Select the morning activity (Swim & Play) for weeks 1, 2, and/or 3
    • Select the afternoon activities for weeks 1, 2, and/or 3
  • It is recommended that families select a different afternoon activity each week.

Grade 2 - 5

Students will have the opportunity to choose from a ½ day (2) or a full day (4) of activities. The morning sessions are (mostly) dedicated to keeping kids active and moving around. In the afternoons, students can choose between a variety of activities that include science, gardening, cooking, reading enrichment, batik making, arts & crafts, and mind-body wellness. 

    • Select 2 morning activities for weeks 1, 2, and/or 3
    • Select 2 afternoon activities for weeks 1, 2, and/or 3
    • Students must participate in a minimum of 2 consecutive activities per session (morning or afternoon)
  • It is recommended that families select a different activity each week.

Middle and High School

Older students have the opportunity to build their own day. They can choose between two OR four activities per day to fill each week. They can choose from an assortment of activities ranging from sports to computer programming. Looking for something different? Be sure to check out the special programs listed below tailored especially for older students. 

    • Select 2 morning activities for weeks 1, 2, and/or 3
    • Select 2 afternoon activities for weeks 1, 2, and/or 3
    • Students must participate in a minimum of 2 consecutive activities per session (morning or afternoon)

Special Programs

ISKL is collaborating with external organizations to support and host a range of unique and exciting programs to run alongside our summer program. These include: 

  • Inspirit AI Artificial Intelligence Program Taught by Stanford and MIT Graduates: Grades 8 to 12. Hosted at ISKL. Registration and payment done directly with our local partner. Read more here

Fine Print

  • ALL activities must meet a minimum enrollment requirement. For activities that do not meet the minimum requirement, we will help to place your child in an alternative activity. 
  • Coordinate with friends so that your children can be enrolled in the same activity from the start. 
    • Students will only be able to change their course up to Tuesday June 13, 2023
  • Please select the age group based on your child’s grade in the 2022 – 2023 school year.
    • Grade 5 → choose ‘Grades 2 to 5’ 
    • Prep Junior → choose ‘Prep Reception & Prep Junior’
  • Full payment is required at the time of registration.
  • Students participating in swimming and water activities need to come with their swimming clothes, a towel, and a change of dry clothes. 
  • Please send your child each day with a healthy snack and lunch (full day). There will be NO food options available on campus, as the kitchens will be undergoing renovations.
  • Please send your child with a reusable water bottle. 
  • Please send your child dressed appropriately for the activity they will be participating in. Sports shoes for sports, sun-safe clothes and hats for outdoor activities, etc. 
  • Nurses will be available. Any medications, medical conditions, or allergies should be declared where asked on summer program registration forms. For any questions or special cases please write to [email protected] 
  • Bussing is available for pick up (8:00 am activities), lunch drop-off (½ day morning students) and afternoon drop-off (full day students). If your child is enrolling for only the afternoon session and requires afternoon drop-off please write to [email protected] 
    • You may register for bussing with the 8:00 a.m. activity. You only need to sign up for bussing 1x for the whole summer program. 
      • The fee is a fixed 2-week fee regardless of whether your child uses the bus for 1, or 2 weeks. 
      • Bussing is NOT available in Week 3 
    • Please sign up for bussing on the first week that it is required (with that week’s 8:00 a.m. activity). 
      • If your child is attending week 1, sign up for bussing with the 8:00 a.m. week 1 activity. This will cover them for week 1 and week 2. 
      • If your child is attending week 2 only, sign up for bussing with the 8:00 a.m. week 2 activity. This will cover them for week 2. 
      • If your child is only attending for week 3, you will need to provide your own transportation.
