As a non-profit school, ISKL’s only shareholders are our students. To fulfill our Vision of caring for others and creating a better world, there are countless ways to contribute. Everyone Can Leave A Legacy

Honor a favorite teacher, your soon to be graduate, or your family with a special Legacy Plaque, or the naming of a classroom, throughout our wonderful new campus. For only RM 1,500 for a legacy plaque ( up to 40 characters per plaque) or RM 10,000 for a named classroom, your time at ISKL will be left here for generations of students to come!

In the central Performing Arts Center / Admissions Entrance, ISKL families, students, and alumni can ensure their legacy with a specially designed message to be etched on the glass.

The new campus has over 170 classrooms. Community members may name a classroom in their name, in honor of a favorite faculty member, or their student!

The Inspire People fund supports the ISKL Pathways Scholarships, awarded to deserving and inspirational Malaysian students.

Inspire Programs

The Inspire Programs fund supports initiatives that enrich students’ experiences in academics, arts, and athletics, building a lasting legacy of excellence at ISKL. These programs are fully integrated into the curriculum, providing remarkable opportunities.

Inspire Places

The Inspire Places fund allows donors to contribute to ongoing campus improvements by funding projects that are part of ISKL's long-term strategic facilities master plan, accelerating their completion.

The Inspire Places campaign supports ISKL’s Mission to inspire learners to shape their path as global citizens by funding innovative and sustainability-focused projects, places, and partnerships.

Artist in Residence Fritildea

As part of the MS Arts Festival, students will design and paint a community mural with Malaysian artist Fritilldea. Located by the MS Garden, the mural will reflect creativity, inclusivity, and community spirit. This Inspire project offers students a hands-on artistic experience while transforming a campus space into a vibrant visual story.

Middle School Play

Artist in Residence - Calvin Ratladi

Award-winning South African artist Calvin Ratladi will guide students in creating an original MS play rooted in African storytelling. Over the course of a month, Ratladi will use physical theatre and puppetry to craft a culturally authentic performance. The Inspire grant supports meaningful student engagement with global perspectives through the arts.

Where is my gift going?

Why does ISKL raise money in addition to tuition?

ISKL is a non-profit school whose only shareholders are the students we serve. As such, through effective governance, a strong administration, and a committed parent community, ISKL has been providing our students with the best possible learning experience and environment, relying primarily on tuition fees.

ISKL seeks the philanthropic support of our entire community to help enhance the learning experience for our students.

Have you changed the names of the donation funds?

In August 2022, as ISKL and the world were coming out of the pandemic, we decided to look into the structure of our donation funds and recategorize all the various historical funds into three categories within the “Inspire Campaign”: People, Places, and Programs.

The previous funds were carefully analyzed and recategorized to the closest category. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the recategorization of funds, please do not hesitate to contact us at advancement@iskl.edu.my.

What type of gifts can I make?

Naming opportunities

ISKL welcomes conversations with families and corporations for whom a signature naming opportunity would be appropriate. For corporate partners, we can discuss a relationship that would involve signage and exposure for naming and branding (upon approval by the ISKL Board of Directors) and usage of facilities.
The vision is to ensure that our ISKL campus is available to the wider community in Kuala Lumpur and as such, wider exposure for our corporate partners is offered. Families may choose to name a space for their family or in honor/memory of a loved one. The iconic campus design will for many years, serve as a fitting and significant place for our partners.
Naming is offered for a period of 10 years, after which the school reserves the right to offer the naming to another family/donor.
The naming of spaces on the Ampang Hilir Campus is meaningful, and as such the ISKL Board will approve the naming of all spaces.

Through our affiliation with Every.org, US taxpayers can make a gift to support ISKL and receive a tax deduction for that gift.
While ISKL is a non-profit, it is legally registered as a Society, not a charity, and therefore can not issue tax receipts for donations in Malaysia. Any sponsorship or donations will be issued a receipt, but ISKL will not issue an invoice as there is no purchase of products or services. Furthermore, ISKL is regulated by the MoE, which only authorizes the issuance of invoices related to tuition fees. Malaysian tax law does not allow local taxpayers to claim tax relief for gifts to ISKL at this time.
