Teachers Teaching Teachers

“Teachers Teaching Teachers” is a homegrown idea started by Ms. Suji DeHart, ISKL’s ES Librarian in 2017 to support teachers at refugee schools in Kuala Lumpur. Since then the program has evolved into fortnightly workshops with ISKL teachers teaching up to 40 teachers at a time.  Read more about this inspiring initiative.

Grade 1 A-Z Countdown

ISKL’s Grade 1 teachers have planned 26 different A-Z activities from the beginning of May through the end of the school year. The activities align with the educational objectives of the Grade 1 team and are engineered to include key learning goals: numeracy, literacy and social thinking.

Touch World Cup

Three of ISKL’s alumni and one HS student will be participating in the event: Georgina McKavanagh (Class of 2013), Jasmine Ng (Class of 2021), Jennab Zulkifly (Class of 2011) and Kenzi-Li Williams (Class of 2018) will be playing for Malaysia’s national team in the tournament.

Official Opening Ampang Hilir Campus of The International School of Kuala Lumpur

The new purpose-built campus of The International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL) in Ampang Hilir was officially opened today by: YB Dato’ Saifuddin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs Malaysia; YB Dr. Xavier Jayakumar, Minister of Water, Land and Natural Resources Malaysia; and YB Ms. Teo Nie Ching, Deputy Minister of Education Malaysia.

Game On at ISKL!

Over three tough, competitive sporting days, 150 visiting athletes from international schools across the region battled it out on the pitches of ISKL in the Interscholastic Association of Southeast Asia Schools (IASAS) Rugby (Boys) and Touch (Girls) Tournament.
