Position Title: Permanent Substitute Teacher/Intern

Reports to: Divisional Principal

The Permanent Substitute Teacher/Intern will provide instructional coverage for teachers who are absent each day. Duties shall include any of those responsibilities normally assigned to a teacher, as described further in the Job Description. Specific duties may vary from time to time and will be assigned according to the specific strengths of the successful candidate. If no coverage is needed, the Permanent Substitute Teacher/Intern will be involved in shadowing a teacher in his/her area of study, and engaging in professional development opportunities in the education field or assisting with any other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate shall be an individual with a demonstrated educational background who firmly believes in students and the mission of the International School of Kuala Lumpur. We are looking for an innovative and highly collaborative team player who has the capacity to help students maximize their opportunities during their time at ISKL. The minimum criteria to be used in the selection of a classroom teacher shall include: 

  • a valid Teacher's Certification or Teaching Degree preferred

  • successful teaching/school experience preferred

  • demonstrated ability to work effectively with students

  • demonstrated ability to develop a sense of community and generate trust

  • outstanding interpersonal skills: a good listener with a collaborative style

  • highly energetic, enthusiastic, visible, approachable and open minded

  • Malaysian citizenship required

Vacancy: Accounts Assistant - Receivables & Inventory

We are seeking to hire an experienced individual to fill the position of the Accounts Assistant - Receivables & Inventory to begin as soon as possible.

Details of vacancy as follows:

Hire Type: 12 months

Reporting to: Manager, Procurement

Job Summary: The Account Assistant is responsible for the daily management of the Panther Hut, attending to the requisition of office supplies as requested and making up orders as necessary. The Accounts Assistant is also in charge of collections for payment for the various school activities.

Pre-Requisites:

  • Minimum Certificate/Diploma in Business Studies, Admin, Finance, Inventory and Warehousing or its equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years' working experience in inventory and/or stores management within a customer service work environment.
  • Must have the confidence and ability to interact and converse well with expatriate parents, teachers and students.
  • Must be computer literate with hands-on experience in systems database management.
  • Must have good spoken and written English.

Internship Opportunity

Internship for Video Editor

Job Responsibility

  • Create video production
  • Able to film the video on site and have a good video filming technique
  • Able to handle the project from conceptualization to final video production
  • Able to source music and sound effect

Job Requirements

We are looking for a young, bright and dynamic intern to join our team. This role requires you to adapt to a high pace social media trend and supporting our never-ending campaign.
