Creativity is central to our student’s development, and we offer a wide range of opportunities embedded within our curriculum and co-curricular activities.
These are critical components in enabling all our students to experiment in a nurturing environment while encouraging them to discover new interests
Opportunity
ISKL views the Arts as central to a student’s development of cognitive and artistic skills.
Students in each grade level, from Early Childhood to High School, are encouraged to become enquirers and experimenters in a nurturing, creative environment.
Students are provided with a rich range of opportunities, both embedded into the curriculum and available after school, that enable them to explore and discover a variety of creative exploits.
Identity
The Fine, Performing, Visual Arts, and Theater departments unite to promote a community of creative and artistic expression.
Students are inspired to actively participate in a diverse range of performances and events that are showcased to an audience in ISKL’s Performing Arts Centre.
Students’ self-expression and confidence are nurtured through talent shows, plays, musicals, choirs, youth orchestras, concerts, exhibitions, and more.
Performing Arts
The Performing Arts program at ISKL strives to provide opportunities for students to celebrate the human creative experience.
The program aspires to foster a culture that supports the arts within the school community and beyond. It aims to provide a foundation for lifelong involvement, support, and passion for the arts.
The goal is for all students to thrive and realize their full artistic potential in dance, music, and theatre by being involved in high-quality, diverse, and authentic performing arts experiences.
Visual Arts
ISKL’s Visual Arts program aims to make the arts accessible, inclusive, and meaningful to each student. Students leave with not only artistic skills and a life-long appreciation of visual arts but are able to consider the value and role of art in our world.
We aim to promote the visual arts by fostering critical and creative thinking, risk-taking, artistic expression, effective communication, cultural awareness, and community engagement.
