As part of our commitment to achieving ISKL’s Vision and Mission, ISKL Pathways scholarships are granted to deserving and inspirational students who believe, as we do, that the purpose of a school is to prepare students for life itself.

We are searching for deserving and inspirational recipients who will join our school community and contribute to achieving our shared goals of creating a better world. The ISKL Pathways Scholarship is a four-year High School program (Grades 9 - 12) that covers full tuition and external exam fees*.
We are offering the ISKL Pathways Scholarship to two Malaysian students who have completed their Form 3 school assessment during the 2026 school year. The scholarship is merit and need-based and is equivalent to a four-year study of the High School Program from Grade 9 to Grade 12.
Scholarship Timeline and Key Dates
The Scholarship Offer
The cohort of scholarship candidates will begin school in August 2027, continuing through to June 2031. The scholarship is equivalent to a four-year study of the High School at The International School of Kuala Lumpur. The scholarship covers the following:

- External Exam Fees
- Calculator (loaned)
- School-issue laptop (loaned)
- Books
- Busing is provided upon consultation with the bus contractor and depending on the bus routes and available seats.
- Global Action Program (ISKL will only cover the destination with the lowest cost)
- School Uniforms
- Cost for participation in the IASAS sports/activities
- Optional Field Trips

Navigating scholarship requirements doesn’t have to be confusing. We are here to guide you through every step of the ISKL Pathways Scholarship process.
What is the ISKL Pathways Scholarship, and what does it cover?
The ISKL Pathways Scholarship is a merit and need-based program for Malaysian students that covers 100% of tuition fees and external exam costs from Grade 9 through Grade 12. Additionally, the award includes school uniforms, busing (subject to availability), and participation in the Global Action Program (GAP) at the base destination cost.
What are the key application deadlines and steps for the scholarship?
The selection process typically begins in late October and concludes with an award ceremony in April. Key milestones for any cycle included:
- Late October: Submission of the initial Interest Form.
- Late November: Completion of the full ISKL Application form.
- December: Selection exams in Mathematics and English for shortlisted candidates.
- January: Formal panel interviews at the ISKL campus.
- February: Notification of successful candidates.
What criteria does the selection panel look for in a scholar?
Beyond academic excellence, ISKL seeks “inspirational” students who embody the school’s vision to “Know Yourself, Care for All, and Create a Better World.” Candidates are evaluated on their commitment to social responsibility, leadership in community service, and alignment with ISKL’s School-wide Learning Results (SLRs), such as thinking creatively and living ethically.
