Welcome From Our Director of Enrollment

Thank you very much for your interest in The International School of Kuala Lumpur. Finding the right school for your child and the right community for your family is most important, whether you’re transitioning into Kuala Lumpur or already living here.
We encourage families to take the time to come and visit us if they can, meet as many members of our community as possible, and experience ISKL in person. If this is not possible, then we are more than happy to schedule a virtual meeting to answer any questions you may have.
Children of all nationalities are welcome to apply. All applications are thoroughly reviewed prior to confirming admission and take into consideration both program match and space availability, ensuring ISKL has the resources to support each student appropriately. In addition to meeting the Admissions criteria, please note that all students must reside with at least one parent or legal guardian who has a valid work permit or resident pass.
We invite you to visit us, either for a personal tour with a member of our Admissions Team or for an Open Day. Please fill out the inquiry form, and we will provide you with all the information you need to begin your ISKL experience.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Embracing the Journey: The Importance of Transition Care Program
Imagine stepping into a new school in a foreign country. The thrill of new beginnings blends with the uncertainty of the unknown.
Now, picture moving to a new city or country and starting this journey again. At ISKL, we deeply understand these feelings, experienced in unique ways by our students, their families, our faculty, and indeed, every member of our community.
Whether starting school for the first time or transitioning from another school, ISKL's support framework and culture of care and empathy ensure both students and families feel at home from the moment they enroll.
We believe that healthy transitions happen when a school community offers opportunities to reflect on what it means to be in a highly mobile environment and by giving students the tools they need to navigate life as a third or cross-cultural student, including lessons on identity, third culture identity, the RAFT, and belonging.
ISKL aims to support families in building resilience to understand that mixed emotions are a natural process of transitional transformation. It is important for adults to understand their own feelings to translate a positive perception and response mechanism onto their children.
ISKL Transition Care programs are the heart of our support system, providing invaluable tools to navigate these pivotal moments. Whether you're the one leaving, staying, or arriving, we are here to ensure that every transition is a journey of growth, connection, and discovery. At ISKL, you're not just changing locations; you're embarking on a path to endless possibilities, embraced by a community that cares.
If you are curious about ISKL Transition program, here is an overview of the transition our new families and leaving families are experiencing during their time within our community.
