At ISKL, we deeply believe in the importance of the role our school plays in working in partnership with parents and preparing our students to lead happy and fulfilled lives. Whilst it is impossible to know for certain what their future will hold, we do know that ensuring our students have the academic and social-emotional skills needed to thrive in an increasingly agile world and the ability to navigate diverse environments is critical.
Nurturing their academic growth is, of course, a fundamental component of our role, and our competitive results in the International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement, and standardized assessments are a testament to the high-quality learning we provide. Equally important is the role we play in helping students develop the skills and mindsets they need to understand themselves, learn how to take care of their social and emotional well-being, care for others, and contribute positively to the world. Each of these elements is reflected in ISKL’s Vision and Mission, which guides us in all we do.

Rami Madani
Head of School – The International School of Kuala Lumpur
Get to Know Mr. Madani
Rami is the Head of School and has been with ISKL since 2009. He is an educational leader with over 25 years of experience in international schools in Asia, Africa, and Europe.
Rami’s expertise in learning, leadership, and governance is recognized across the Asia Pacific, where he has provided strategic consultancy services for international schools and educational conferences.
He was previously Director of Learning at ISKL, a position held for seven years. Previous roles as Head of Secondary School at Ecole Mondiale, Mumbai, India, and positions such as Curriculum Coordinator, Dean, and IB teacher, ensure Rami has a comprehensive understanding of the competencies students need to be future-ready.
Rami holds a BSc in Mathematical Sciences (Hons), and an MA in Education.
