Starship is an exciting and highly educational science trip. The application process begins in March for the following year's trip in October. Students will participate in a five-day program at Space Academy Level 1 in Huntsville, Alabama. In the South Florida area, students will experience several of the best science venues that the United States has to offer.

This trip is not for everyone. It is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for students who are committed to and enthusiastic about science, but it will also involve a lot of work and will be an exhausting two weeks. During this time students will gain first-hand experience discovering how science and technology affects every aspect of life, now and in their futures. Students who participate in this program develop significantly deeper interest and abilities in science and math applications. As such, interested students go through a rigourous application process in 7th grade and then participate in the program as 8th graders.
