Malaysia Week is a natural extension of ISKL's programs. This program occurs in the spring of each year. All middle school students enjoy different activities at various sites in Malaysia. Students, teachers and parents enjoy the many wonderful aspects of our host country. This off campus experience provides students with an experiential learning opportunity.

Program Goals for Malaysia week are for students to:

  • Learn a new skill or gain knowledge in an area not ordinarily found in the school curriculum;
  • Increase their knowledge, understanding, enjoyment and appreciation of Malaysia;
  • Learn to co-operate in a group situation with peers as well as adults;
  • Reinforce skills and content in the existing curriculum;
  • Gain an increased sense of independence and responsibility;
  • Experience the positive aspects of living in a community.

School-Wide Learning Results

  • Communicate Effectively
  • Collaborate Constructively
  • Think Creatively
  • Reason Critically
  • Learn Enthusiastically
  • Live Ethically
