The Middle School instrumental program is a vibrant collection of over 200 students playing instruments in four different class bands and a select auditioned jazz band.
The music depatment stages two major concerts per year at ISKL, and the various groups perform at many community events.
Students are helped with choice of instrument in the 6th grade beginners class. The standard brass, woodwind and percussion instruments are taught. No previous knowledge of music is necessary as students are required to learn to read music as part of the course.
For Grade 6 students new to their instruments. This becomes Band One after the first semester.
For Grade 6 students who have experience playing their instruments.
