Dance Squad is the first season dance activity. Students will learn a combination dance routine (street jazz style) to begin with and will have the opportunity to do a bit of their own choreography in small groups. Students can choose their preferred dance style(s) (hip hop, breakdance, jazz, tap, etc.) and work toward perfecting their routines for a MS assembly performance at the end of the first season. Students meet every Wednesday throughout the first season of MS activities.

2nd SEASON DANCE ACTIVITY
MS DANCE CORPS

The Dance Corps will meet every Wednesday from 3:00-4:10. Students will audition after Spring Break and will meet once a week until the May 19th MS/HS Dance Show. Dance Corps members must be committed and have parent permission, but do not need to audition to participate in this activity.

3RD SEASON DANCE ACTIVITY
MS DANCE COMPANY

The Dance Company is a second semester advanced performance group in the Middle School. Students will audition in February and will meet periodically until March, when their schedule changes to a 4 day a week rehearsal schedule. This is a directed activity that has a similar schedule to the MS Play. Students must be highly committed and parent permission is required to participate. There are also costs involved (costume, etc.) with this performance group. The main performance will be in the May 19th MS/HS Dance Show.
