We believe that the middle school should effectively meet the needs of the early adolescent learner. We will achieve this by providing:

• Support and encouragement to achieve academic
  excellence through maximum effort;
• A balanced curriculum of skill development and content information using a variety of approaches;
• A structured learning environment within which teachers can provide for students’ individual needs and opportunities for students to assume increasing amounts of responsibility;
• A program that promotes positive interaction between students of different age and grade levels;
• Counseling, support, and guidance to assist students in this time of significant physical and emotional change, and increased peer pressure and social demands;
• Experiences designed to enhance each student’s self-esteem;
• Systematic communication with parents on matters
  relating to their individual child and to the school program;
  and
• An extra-curricular activities program which complements
  the overall school program and is designed to cover a full
  range of student interests and emphasizes skill-building and
  participation.
