"TOK is a required one-year course for IB Diploma students. It's designed to help students understand what they know. The course involves a lot of questions. We begin by asking questions about language, logic, perception and emotion in the first semester. Those are ways of knowing. Then in the second semester, we ask questions about what the students know in their art, science, English, history and mathematics classes. At the end of the course, the student must write a 1500 word essay and make a ten- minute oral presentation. Hopefully by the end of the course, students will realize how much they don't know."
