is for physically, optically, and mentally handicapped Malaysian children up to 13 years old, mainly from the lower income group. ISKL students visit weekly for recreational activities with these children. Membership in Tasputra club is helpful, to plan activities.
is a refugee center for Myanmar refugees. Volunteers play with the children, and also help them study English or develop computer skills. Volunteers from ISKl visit this location weekly. Membership in the International club is recommended.
(Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) is an animal shelter located a short walk from ISKL. Students who attend help raise money for the animals ’ health care and work directly with the animals. Membership in SPCA club is helpful, but not required, for activity planning purposes. SPCA volunteers visit weekly.
Paediatric Cancer Ward offers a chance for ISKL students to do various activities with children in a hospital ward. Many of them are receiving chemotherapy but need the stimulation of outside contact and the chance to make crafts and/or play games. Membership in Kids For Kids club is helpful, but not required, for activity planning purposes.
