The Prep Reception and Prep Junior programs are our early childhood classes, designed to meet the developmental needs of three-and four-year-olds. The child-centered, flexible programs foster each child’s intellectual, physical, emotional, social, cultural, and aesthetic growth.
We believe that children learn best by doing. The daily schedule allows time to explore, converse, move about, create and play.
The Prep Reception and Prep Junior classrooms encourage children to explore, experiment, and discover with hands-on materials. Classroom discovery centers provide for student choice and capitalize on individual interests. These discovery centers account for a wide range of developmental capabilities, which provide challenges and enhance independence.
Parents are key to the success of their child’s early childhood educational experience. In order to achieve a happy, well-balanced child, it is important that parents and faculty members work closely together. We invite parents to participate in their child’s learning experience through involvement in classroom activities. Parents have the opportunity to volunteer as classroom helpers and to chaperone field trips.
