Music Recording Studio (RM50,000.00)
The addition of a music-recording studio to the strong High School music program will allow students to record, produce and archive their own music. These skills will serve them well in the IB program and into their university years.
- Phase A 2011/2012: RM50,000 - Purchase and setup initial equipment
Grand Piano (RM80,000.00)
ISKL student performers would benefit greatly from a grand piano on the stage of the Robert B. Gaw Theatre. The baby grand piano used currently will find a new home in the Middle School choir room.
(RM2,508 already funded, balance RM77,492 to go)
Melawati Studio Stage Curtains (RM100,000)
The Melawati Studio is a center of student activity. The stage curtains are in disrepair; the Studio space would benefit from an enhanced image.
Band Instrument Leasing Program (RM190,700.00)
To encourage participation in the Grade 5 band program, the Elementary School would like to start an instrument leasing program. With a stable of rentable instruments, we could remove a substantial cost barrier to parents. Removing this barrier would lead to a larger number of musicians at a younger age, eventually improving the standard of play throughout ISKL.
Below are the needs for the Band Instrument Leasing Program. You may choose to support all of the items or selected items.

Bleachers at the Ampang Blue Top (RM15,000.00)
With the new flooring soon to be installed, the Blue Top will be another hub for intramural and inter-school competition. Installing bleachers around the rain-protected space will make it a joy to cheer on our Panther teams.
Ways to donate
Back to Annual Fund Welcome page
A 9: The goal for 2010-2011 is to establish the Annual Fund as a transparent way to donate money to ISKL for specific projects or the General Fund, both of which would benefit current students during the current school year. The application process is identical to the PTA Grants process, making it as easy as possible for teachers and activity leaders to ask for assistance. Transparency for donors and accessibility for applicants are the principal goals for this year. Once the system is up and running, it will be our goal to fine-tune that process so that it can be continued in future years
Together with our Faculty Representative, Joseph Granzow, I'll be launching the Annual Fund Grant Applications for the teachers later this week. Once we have a good wish list in hand, I will update the community about what has been requested by our teachers to enhance the already excellent education our children are receiving at ISKL. Here is a link to the approved spending plan for the money raised by the 2009-10 Annual Fund. Your gifts have been put to good use, and all of our children will soon be benefitting from the purchases as they are made in the near future. Thank you once again to the many generous donors who participated in the Annual Fund last ye |
