ISKL thanks you for your continued support and please know that your efforts have contributed to the growth of the alumni community as approximately 3,000 alumni have registered and the Class/Parent Agent list is approximately 280. We have recently topped 300 with the new 2010 Class Agents!!
The linked letter from Head of School, Paul Chmelik and LeeAnn Letourneau '74 shares information regarding ISKL’s Inaugural Annual Fund which has been underway for several weeks. The ISKL Board, administration, faculty, staff and current parents are currently contributing to meet this year’s goal of MR300,000. Walk for Children: 1 Malaysia is a fun, family-friendly charity event sponsored by ISKL's International Club taking place on May 22, 2010 at the Lake Gardens. Come to the Gardens and watch out for entertainment from student groups, as well as by the rapper Caprice! (ISKL alumnus)
The International Club is a student-led and student-run organization at the International School of Kuala Lumpur, founded on the principles of Internationalism and Community Service. This initiative has been organized with the hope of uniting youth of all ages behind one banner to support a very worthy cause: the lives of disadvantaged youth here in Malaysia. All money raised from the walkathon on May 22, 2010 will be directed towards the Malaysian NGO Shelter, a registered, voluntary welfare organization for children and teenagers who have been abandoned, neglected, orphaned or abused.
This event is open to the Malaysian public and private school students, international school students, and their families. Bring along your friends and family!
