Aeden Pillai '09 is seen here with another recent grad, Kwan Ho Ko '09. Aeden spent the last two years in Texas andduring his Senior year was the editior of the yearbook. He will be entering Tufts University in Boston. Kwon Ho is headed to Georgia Tech University.
Kat Davis '09 was in town to her friends in her class. She recently graduated from school in Endinbough, Scotland and will be attending university in Florida in the fall.
Akria Kikuno '09 is seen here with Kotaro Nakamura '04 during the last week of school Kotaro is visiting for a short while before moving back to Japan for a year.
Clementine van dePanne '02 and her boyfriend recently toured the Ampang campus. Clementine is currently a consultant at a recruitment agency and also owns a styling company called: Your Style Guide - home
Hide Date '02 and Nao Kato '02 celebrate their wedding with a photoshoot on the ISKL Ampang campus. Hide is currently working for Richo Malaysia as the Japanese accounts manager and Nao is conducting priviate piano lessons and working with Yuka Tanaka '02 at Las Vacas in Petaling Jaya.
Gael Oliverers '02 is currently the Director of his own company, STELLAR, a public relations and event management operation. Seen with Mr & Mrs. Kato, alumni parents of Nao '02 and Ryoko '5, Nao '02 and Date Hide '02, Gael orgnized a wedding photo shoot for Hida and Nao on the Ampang campus.
Kamina Nagel '05 and her significan other were in town briefly. Kamina is in the process of looking for employment after graduating from Bond University in Australia. She will be traveling to China to stay with her parents for while seeking employment. Her favorite memory of ISKL: Senior year and West Side Story!
Andre Slatta '03 and his friend, Jess, visited Kuala Lumpur for a short week. Andre is currently studying in Murdoch University in Perth and will be graudating soon. He continues to support the ISKL alumni community by organzing the Alumni vs. Varsity Rugby game this past December.
During their recent spring break and vacation, Aya Sado '05, Shoko Matsuo '04 and Saki Okubo '04 stopped by to see the changes at ISKL. Shoko is currently studying at St. Paul's University and Saki is at Sophia University. They will be graudating at the end of March and have already secured employment in Japan.
Danielle Butler '05 stopped off to see her alma mater during a round the world tour to see her friends after graduating from university in Australia. She will be returning to Adelaide to start a career in hotel management.
Norm and Pauline R oberts, parents of Mark and Penny, recently visited the school during their tour of SE Asia. During their time here, they were active playing bridge and Norm was on the Board of Directors.

Lou Davey, former MS Band teacher, recently returned to ISKL as a guest conductor for the 10th KL Band Fest. Ten years ago, Lou founded this program which attracks more than 500 band and choir students from local and international schools. Joseph Granzow, current ISKL choir director, led the combined choirs. The event was organized by James Housego, current MS band teacher.

This year's SEA Ann Russell Award winner, Shriya Ravishankar '10 and Dini Subbiah '04, the first recepient of the award meet after this year's SEA Foresnics Tournament.

ISKL ALumni give back:
Dini Subbiah '04 , Ching Wen Chan '04, Imogen Jane Whiting '03 and Matt Smith '03 were on campus during the recent SEA Forensics. Dini and Ching Wen lent their support by judging several events and Imogen Jane was the video recorder for the recent MS ISTA trip to Taipei. Matt is currently working on the upcoming ISKL promotional video.

Varun Bhagwat '01, Darren Long '01 who is currently working at the school and his brother, Jordan '02 stopped by for a visit. Varun is currently working as lab techniciqn in Adelaine and fondly remembers Mr. Furth's World Studies class. Jordan is a recent univ graduate and is in between jobs. He plans to stay in Malaysia.

Sasha Zulkilfly '06, Alia Zulkifly '08, Irina Mohamad '06, Christina Seo '05 were on campus last week. Sasha and Alia accompanied the 2nd season IASAS Girls Touch team to Singapore to lend their support.
Giata Licata '98 and her friend stopped by the Ampang campus for a visit during their SE Asia vacation. Both are oncology residents in a Milan hospital. Giata continues to stay connected to ISKL via the internet and is willing to offer career counseling to those students who are interested in the medical field. Several years ago, Giata presented to a HS biology on the topic of ongcolgy.
Noel McMichael '89 is seen here with Jenny and Karen Palko, MS Dance teacher. Noel will be visiting parts of Thailand and Singapore before heading back to the San Fansisco area. He and Jenny plan to be at the SF reunion in March.
Anne-Marie Tan '04 is currently studying at the Univserity of Melbourne is seen here with her brother, David '05 who is also at Melbourne studying law.
Jason Napiorkowski '04 and Jess arrived in KL during a Southeast Asian holiday. Jason is currently a student at Sydney University. He is also "giving back" to ISKL by performing in this year's "Improv" night when he teams up with Matt Smith '03, Pieter Steck '02 and Eric Richardson.
The semester break was a time for visiting. Here, classmates from 2004, Krista Payne, Kobie Andurs and Kamina Nagel enjoying time together before heading back to uni or employment in Australia.
KIt Ong '84 alumni and current parent is seen here with Shao Min Yuan '84 who is currently residing in Sinapore and working as a Divion Manager for Bio-Rad Laboratories.

 


 

Wolfgang Reitz '80 is currently working as a plant manager at AS Waston Industries in Hong Kong. He visited the schoolfor the first time since 1980 with his wife, Demi, and their two children. Next week, his is meeting up with other ISKL alumni in Hong Kong while I am there for a conference. We are looking forward to continuing our chat about the 80's.
Heike Kern '82 visited the Ampang campus for the first time since her departure in 1976. She and her husband toured the campus and even chatted with Mrs. Muri, her elementary school teacher.
Liesbet Recter '85 and classmate Kit Ong '85 are pouring over Karen Palko's dance albums. Liesbet and Kit are currently alumni who have children enrolled at ISKL.

Choy Hardisty '93 recently visited his alma mater and met up with Mike Larios and Karen Palko. Choy has distinct memories of being on the football team and also being a part of Miss Palko's dance class. He is currenly living in Melbourne and is employed in the IT profession.

Zak and Kamal are two of three alumni (Jeffri Rahim ’00) who are the owners and creative team for JoMama Productions  www.jomama-productions.com  here in Kuala Lumpur.
Jun Koh '07 is enjoying summer vacation before entering her second year at Princeton University. When asked to collect her thoughts about who she would like to reconnect with, she comments: "All the teachers that taught me here. Without the basic education and inspiration that they instilled in me, I wouldn't be where I am today."
Fred and Larin Bluemink, parents of Monique '97 and David (second from left) family recently toured the Ampang campus.
Yun Suk Lim '84 is currently working for MediaCorp News in Seoul. As she has fond memories of ISKL and Malaysia, will be a frequent visitor to Kuala Lumpur.
Su Sang Lee '07 recently visited ISKL and would like to reconnect with his classmate. He is currently studying at KAIST in Seoul.
Shirley Desiderato '07 just finished an intership in Sabah at the Borneo Marine Research Institute and returning to univeristy in California.
Gaia Garzelli '98 is currently working for an engineering company in Italy. The ISKL tennis team is one of her fondest memories plus the time spent visiting with freinds during lunch. She would enjoy reconnecting with friends to see that everyone has been up to.
Tim Ives '10 has moved to France and is currently enrolled at the British School in Paris. Tim remembers Malaysia Week and his expereinces in the band class. Tim has also volunteered to be a class agent.
School opening is a busy time at ISKL and we welcome extra hands to help. Last year's graduates, Ariff Azman '08 and Josh Antao '08 volunteered to assit with an alumni mailing.
Dominiuqe Hirsiger '98 and her guest stopped by the campus to visit with current faculty, John Stupka , HS art, and Karen Palko, MS dance. Ms. Palko reminded Dominique of her unique dancing style! Dominique is a graduate of Savannah School of Design and is currently an architect concentrating on interior design of corporate offices.
