FEES FOR THE 2009/2010 SCHOOL YEAR

Fees are payable in advance and are assessed in accordance with the fee structure established by the Board of Directors.  The fee structure consists of a Society membership fee, an application fee, registration or re-enrollment fee, tuition fee and a Land and Buildings Fee.

NOTES:

1.              Society Membership Admission Fees:  As members of the Society of ISKL, the non-refundable membership admission fee is due once your child(ren)'s enrollment is confirmed.  

2.              Annual Society Membership Subscription is due upon approval of membership application.  

3.              Application Fee for Student Enrollment: A processing fee is payable upon submission of an application for student enrollment.  

4.              Registration Fee:  The registration fee is payable immediately after a student has been confirmed for admission and is included in the initial tuition fee invoice.  

5.              Re-Enrollment Fee:  A re-enrollment fee is due and payable on or before April 1^st each year to reserve a place for each returning student for the next school year. The re-enrollment fee is refundable pursuant to policy if the student’s re-enrollment is withdrawn under the following conditions:

·         75% of Re-enrollment fees refunded if written notification made by 31 May 2009

·         50% of Re-enrollment fees refunded if written notification made by 30 June 2009

·         25% of Re-enrollment fees refunded if written notification made by 31 July 2009

6.              ESL Surcharge: A one-time fee per student is chargeable only for students requiring ESL support.  

7.              Land and Buildings Fee:  This is a one-time non-refundable payment per family to fund future school expansion.  All new member families will be charged the contribution.  

8.              Tuition Fees: Charges are per year, payable per semester. There are two semesters per year.  Fees for Semester 1 are due by August 1^st and fees for Semester 2 are due by January 2^nd. Tuition fees may be paid annually in August. An installment plan with a nominal administrative charge is available. Prior arrangements should be made with the Business Office. 

Denomination of School Fees:

All school fees are denominated in RM (Ringgit Malaysia) and parents will be invoiced accordingly. Fees, associated registration and courier costs for examinations marked and graded by an external examining board (including IB, AP, SAT 1 & 2) will be invoiced separately.  Members (irrespective of resident status) who are employed by a company not incorporated in Malaysia including Foreign Embassies may arrange to pay in U.S. Dollars.  All other members will pay school fees in Ringgit Malaysia. 

Students Entering ISKL During The Semester Will Pay As Follows:

First Semester (August 5^th 2009 – December 17^th 2009)

a)             Students entering August 5^th to October 9^th will pay the full semester fees (65% of the annual fees) and pay the remaining 35% by January 2^nd 2010.

b)             Students entering on or after October 12^th will pay 40% of the annual fees, and pay the remaining 35% by January 2^nd 2010.

Second Semester (January 11^th 2010 – June 4^th 2010)

a)             Students entering January 11^th to April 1^st will pay 50% of the annual fees.

b)             Students entering on or after April 12^th will pay 25% of the annual fees.

Refund of Tuition

There will be no refund of tuition fees in part or in whole for the semester, except in the case where admission is not granted or when a student does not attend school at all during the semester with appropriate notification.

Part-Time Students Will Pay the Following Non-Refundable Fees In Full

a)             Application fee and Registration fee, or

b)             Application fee and Re-enrollment fee, if the part-time student has previously been enrolled at ISKL either as a part-time or full time student.

Fees may be paid by check, bank draft, direct bank-in or via telegraphic transfers

a)             Checks in Ringgit Malaysia should be made payable to “The International School of Kuala Lumpur”
